Tegher Vank

This large building stands on the south-eastern slopes of Mount Aragatz, near the abandoned village of Dguir. It consists of a church and a gavit: the church is of the usual type of longitudinal domed hall, with four apsed chapels at the four corners; the gavit, wider than the church, is characterised in its front part by two square chapel-bell towers which, set on the roof like façade towers (taking up the motif of the triumphal arch of Anì-Homoros), almost reach the height of the main church with their tall drums and conical roofs. The complex, recently restored, has recovered its full original volume.
