Uši - S. Sarkis
10th-13th century. This is a fortified monastery enclosing a group of places of worship, including a chapel, a completely destroyed church and a ruined gavit’. The chapel is a simple barrel-vaulted apsed hall, enclosed within a parallelepiped volume covered by a steeply pitched gabled roof. Of the church that stood between the chapel and the gavit’ no identifying elements remain, as it has almost completely collapsed. The gavit’, to the south of the other buildings, was a large square room; in the middle of its south front it has a large two-light window with a double arch resting on two engaged half-columns and on a free-standing column in the centre.
