Arca di San Domenico

The oldest part of the famous monument, that is, the rectangular chest, was executed between 1264 and 1267 by various assistants of Nicola, among whom Arnolfo di Cambio has been identified, Fra' Guglielmo and Lapo. Even within the unmistakable direction of the Master, the personalities of the various collaborators express themselves in an autonomous and even discontinuous manner.
