Rosso Medardo
Child in the Sun
The concern to impose the incidence and direction of light documents another aspect of this poetics, that of the uniqueness of the angle of view. Predetermined lighting and a single viewpoint define Rosso's conception of sculpture: a luminous surface, or rather a series of luminous surfaces which, in their incidence on matter, express the throb of life.
