Viani Alberto
Caryatid
Viani refuses to equate art and expression. In opposition to a spurious flux of emotional or sentimental existence, he prefers to isolate himself in the contemplation of pure and stable forms, stripped of chance phenomena and disordered impulses. In formulating his rarefied and impeccable art, he was surely influenced by Martini. He has also a refined and hermetic taste deriving perhaps from his melancholy pessimism.
