Paganin Giovanni
Crucifix
From the urge to free matter from its inertia and inexpressiveness springs the surly and violent force that probes all its inner tangles, tears apart its volumes, devastates its surfaces; the sculptural heaviness responds to a dramatic expressive necessity that, through the lacerations of feeling, pursues the ephemeral sign of a human testimony.
