Faith in God

From the admirable back, defined by an ideal line that throbs and vibrates through the subtly changing pictorial quality of the form, the image dissolves and opens in a gesture of abandonment. This is acutely studied, and rendered almost too accurately by the soft passage of light over the hips, the arms, and the ecstatic face in a continuous repetition of falling curves.
