Marochetti Carlo
Monument to Emanuele Filiberto
The only Italian sculptor whose work can truly be said to be imbued with Romantic ideals was Marochetti, a Piedmontese who worked for a long time outside Italy, first in France and then in England. With the Emanuele Filiberto, a homage to the first experiments of a liberal policy in Piedmont, he gave the highest proof of his ability to bend the material to the expression of "burning emotions".
