Manzù Giacomo
Susanna
In the same years in which the Mussolini Forum was being erected, Manzù executed an extremely modest, deliberately workday transcription of the great nineteenth-century luminist tradition, from Degas to Rosso and Rodin. He concentrates in small vibrant works, moist with the sap of life, the fears and passions of a humanism imperiled by vulgarity and violence.
