For years Mazzacurati had scourged the Fascist leaders with his familiar habit of sarcastic and brutal criticism. Thus the aggressive brutality of this male figure, in which mercilessly realistic observation is combined with expressionistic forms and Cubistic solutions. Sculptural strength redeems his perhaps excessive satisfaction in a caustic analysis of human nature.
