Nidularium
Description
The leaves of nidulariums, elongated, thick and glossy, form dense rosettes at the centre of which they change colour completely, taking on very bright hues; red, pink and purple.
Cultivation
Nidularium plants prefer shadow, indeed solar rays cause the leaves to burn. These plants do not have particular needs in terms of temperature and tolerate drops of temperatures down to 10°. The soil must be soft, with peat, and must be kept humid. To guarantee the right humidity to the plant, pour a teaspoon of water in the centre of the rosette. Draining must be done carefully to avoid the rotting of the collar which represents one of the most frequent causes of death of these plants. Nidularium plants prefer pots of small dimensions. Manuring once a month is enough.
Propagation
Nidularium plants are propagated by detaching any offsets that form beside the mother plant.
