Sage
Sage, or Salvia officinalis, is considered the sacred herb of the Latins. It is in fact a powerful reviver of lost energies.
It stimulates the nervous and endocrine systems, reactivates the blood circulation and is excellent against all disorders of the female genital sphere.
It revives all the forces of the organism and gives a charge of energy to those who have lost vitality and interest in life. It is an excellent remedy for all disorders of a nervous nature, especially those linked to the menopause and the climacteric, which very often have a negative effect on emotional and sexual behaviour.
As with rosemary, however, sage is contraindicated for those who suffer from hypertension, since it strongly stimulates the circulation of the blood.
According to H. Leclerc, stimulating sage wine is recommended for asthenics, for those overloaded with physical and mental work, for neurasthenics and for those suffering from neurovegetative dystonia.
The stimulating wine is prepared by steeping 80 grams of sage leaves in a litre of wine (white or red, as preferred) for a week.
After a week, filter and leave to settle for a few days.
Take two or three tablespoons after meals.
