Mirko
(Basaldella) Chimera
The elusive poetry of Mirko's art, ancestral rather than archaistic, soon led to an independent reconstruction of form, following suggestions from his emotional fantasy and nourished by considerable learning. What redeems these images from facile decorative elegance is the hidden vitality fermenting inside, the transfiguration of the material into organic human unity.
