Rosso Medardo
Yvette Guilbert
The precariousness of the transitory instant in which the perception of the image is resolved becomes lyrically intense through the awareness of its indissoluble continuity in the whirl of the cosmos, and justifies the absolute value of the fragment as an autonomously complete work of art: a head cannot be conceived apart from the body of which it is part, nor this body apart from the environment that surrounds it, conditions it and in a certain sense transforms it.
